MAI Higher National Diploma has been designed to provide technical training in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Automation.

The programme also provides the flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for progression to further study .


2 - Application procedure
 

First a person must have the interest and motivation to work complete the program.  But a person must want to be successful as well.

a) To qualify for admission, applicants should have one of the following : 

  • French Baccalaureate in S, SI,  STI (GM or GE),  ( in sciences, industrial sciences and technologies), vocational baccalaureate (MSMA or PSPA)

b) Applicants will be selected according to : 

  • Marks and teachers' appreciations from the last two years of high school.
3 - Aims and Objectives
 

The purpose of this program is to help graduates prepare for career opportunities in a variety of entry-level positions in various fields involving  mechanical engineering and industrial automation.

The program offers instruction in electronics applications and computer aspects of automated manufacturing, including both theory and applications of digital and industrial electronics, mechanics, hydraulics/pneumatics, robotic systems, and industrial management.

This program allows you to either graduate as a technician after two years, or continue for additional study:

  • Vocational  licence
  • Professionalised  University Institute (IUP)

4 - Career opportunities

 Automation, computer-assisted manufacturing and robotics have opened new fields in the planning, installation and service of automated equipment and systems. Many industrial companies are improving their production operations in order to meet changing technology.

Graduates of this program may begin to pursue career opportunities in a variety of entry-level positions such as technical sales representative, automation technician, machine technician, manufacturing technician, process control technician, field service technician and production maintenance technician.

5 - Course description : units of study

One academic year is composed of two semesters .

Each semester is  organised in 6 accredited subject units.

In order to facilitate student mobility, to each subject unit is attributed a number of credits (European Credit Transfer System).
